Georgia Law Governing Partnership Disputes

Georgia follows the Uniform Partnership Act (UPA), codified at O.C.G.A. The UPA governs how profits and losses are shared, what management rights each partner holds, and what happens when a partner dissociates from the business. If your partnership has a written partnership agreement, that document takes precedence over the UPA’s defaults in most respects.
